1. Playgrounds
The playgrounds at Ty Warner Park are a great place for kids to burn off some energy. The park also features a splash park and sports facilities.

2. Spray Park
Kids can cool off at this water playground that sprays jets, misters, and dumping buckets. There are also cannons, a whale tail, and a train-themed sand play area. This squishy soft-surfaced splash pad is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The shady, family-friendly park is named after Beanie Babies creator Ty Warner. Though he’s now a convicted tax evader facing prison, the wealthy namesake’s money helped fund this public park.
3. Picnic Areas
Ty Warner Park is a scenic spot for picnicking with the family. The park has a picnic pavilion that can be rented for parties. It also has several spots where you can lay out a blanket for a picnic.
The comfortable Lions Park Pavilion is adjacent to the playground and offers picnic tables, charcoal grills, and trash cans. The nearby Sweet & Savory Spot serves burgers, chicken tenders, sandwiches, salads, and more.
4. Volleyball Courts
Named after the founder of Beanie Babies, this 36-acre park is a hub of activity. You’ll find families picnicking, kids clambering over the playground equipment, and couples playing tennis.

5. Basketball Courts
Westmont has plenty of basketball courts for all you hoopers out there. There are many outdoor hard courts for you to hoop on, and they’re open to all ages.
The village is also home to the Godfather of Blues, Muddy Waters. Westmont honors him with a historical exhibit every July.
6. Horseshoe Pits
Westmont’s second-oldest park features a playground, tennis courts, sports fields, and a sand volleyball court. Its comfortable Lions Park pavilion includes picnic tables and grills and is available seasonally.
The village’s downtown along Cass Avenue boasts a plethora of independent restaurants serving Korean, Chinese, barbeque, Italian, and contemporary American fare. It also houses the international headquarters of Ty Inc., makers of Beanie Babies.
7. Tennis Courts
Westmont IL is a great place to live with many parks and family-friendly neighborhoods. The city is home to the award-winning Ty Warner Park which is one of the largest parks in the western suburbs.
The park is named after Ty Warner who was the creator of the Beanie Babies stuffed toys. Although the billionaire has pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion, he will keep his name on the 36-acre park.
8. Basketball Courts
The village of Westmont is home to the Godfather of Blues, Muddy Waters. The village hosts a tribute to him each July.

9. Softball Fields

10. Baseball Fields
Great family park. Big baseball, tennis, and basketball areas and a cool little zip line for kids. Great walking paths and gazebos.
